Reddit users on the gay-themed gay-related subreddit /r/gayarena have come out against a gay porn star’s post on the site.
The post, which had been removed from the site after a backlash, made a series of comments about incest and how it affects the families of gay men and women.
“As a gay person who has been in the closet for years, this post is upsetting to me,” one user posted.
“My parents had an incestuous relationship, and it affected their children.
I had the opportunity to grow up in a safe environment and I chose not to.
I feel like I could not do this to my children, but to my parents I am a monster and they cannot be together.”
The poster was quick to add that his parents are gay, and he did not intend to “demonize” his family.
“But there are a lot of people who would love to see me punished and/or killed if I do this, so please know that I am not that person and I know that it hurts them.
I am just trying to be as honest as I can,” he wrote.
“I hope to someday be able to share this with the world and hopefully change the world for the better.
I will continue to do my best to do that.”
The other Reddit user responded, “I know you love your family and your friends and I will try to keep my family safe.”
The comments on the post have since been removed, and Reddit did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In a statement, Reddit said it had taken down the post and had suspended the user who made it.
“While we do not condone the posting, we are committed to the safety and well-being of our community and we are investigating this matter,” the statement read.
